CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or other significant damage noted. There is one unusual small silver-gray mark on the upper surface of the handle, clearly shown in the photographs. Its origin is unknown and it has been left as found. Please review all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description.
Although originally made as a gravy or sauce boat, its decorative potential extends well beyond the dinner table. At approximately 8 inches long, it is an appealing size for holding a small arrangement of fresh or dried flowers, as illustrated in the staged photograph. It would also display beautifully on open kitchen shelving, a hutch, sideboard or dining table.
The underside bears an impressed “U.S.A.” mark. No manufacturer's name is present, and the maker is therefore listed as unknown rather than attributing the piece without sufficient evidence.
