Item Details, Condition & Measurements
A handsome vintage studio pottery planter featuring an earthy brown and olive-toned glaze accented by a striking band of reactive blue beneath its substantial rolled rim. The blue shifts from deep cobalt and slate to softer blue-lavender tones, giving this otherwise understated vessel wonderful visual depth.
Approximately 5" in diameter and 3.5" tall, its compact size is ideal for a small houseplant or trailing plant. No drainage hole was observed, making it especially useful as a cachepot with a nursery pot placed inside. It also displays beautifully on its own as decorative pottery.
The piece appears wheel-thrown and handmade, but the base is unmarked; the maker and exact origin are unknown.
