CONDITION: Exceptional vintage condition with an appearance suggesting extremely little, if any, previous use. The casserole retains a beautiful high-gloss finish and exceptionally strong, crisp Butterfly Gold decoration with no observed color or gloss loss. The interior is remarkably clean. No chips or cracks were found on the casserole or clear glass lid. Please examine all photographs closely for the exact condition of this vintage piece.
This vintage Pyrex Butterfly Gold #472-B covered casserole is a particularly well-preserved example of one of the most recognizable Pyrex patterns of the 1970s. The creamy white opal glass casserole is decorated with the warm golden floral and leaf motif of the original Butterfly Gold design and is accompanied by its coordinating clear glass 470-C lid.
Butterfly Gold debuted during the 1970s and became closely associated with the coordinating Corelle dinnerware of the period. Its stylized flowers, leaves and warm gold coloring capture the distinctive kitchen aesthetic of the era while remaining remarkably versatile for today's vintage-inspired interiors.
