CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks observed. Natural glaze variations and handmade irregularities are present and are characteristic of the pottery's production. Please review all photographs closely for exact condition.
A distinctive vintage Irish pottery chamberstick handmade by Togher Pottery in Ireland. Finished in a rich olive-green glaze with earthy brown variation, the traditional form features a broad circular drip pan, raised central socket for a taper candle and substantial ribbed loop handle.
The underside retains impressed circular marks identifying Togher Pottery as handmade and confirming Irish manufacture. Its hand-thrown character is visible throughout, from subtle throwing lines to the individual variations in the glaze.
At approximately 6" in diameter and 3" tall, this chamberstick is substantial enough to stand alone as decorative Irish studio pottery while remaining functional as a taper candle holder. Its mossy green color works especially well with warm woods, antique furnishings, books and natural interiors.
