Maker: Hazel-Atlas Glass Company Pattern/Line: Little Hostess / Moderntone Material: Platonite glass Estimated Circa: 1940-1954
Made by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company, these miniature dishes belong to the collectible Little Hostess line associated with Hazel Atlas Moderntone. The pieces were made from opaque white Platonite glass with pastel color applied to the exterior, which explains why the dishes appear predominantly white when viewed from the underside while displaying their distinctive pastel colors from above. Hazel Atlas produced Little Hostess sets as children's play dishes, giving young hosts their own miniature glass dinnerware and tea-party pieces.
A charming six-piece collection of vintage Hazel Atlas Little Hostess children's dishes in three classic pastel colors. This set includes three approximately 6-inch child's plates and three approximately 4½-inch saucers in coordinating blue, yellow-green, and pink.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-appropriate signs of previous use. The photographs show some surface wear and variation to the colored finish, particularly visible when the pieces catch the light. Please examine all photographs closely for the exact condition of each piece. No condition beyond what can be confirmed from the photographs has been assumed.
