CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The Sunday Social retains exceptionally vibrant peach, deep purple and bright yellow color with very little apparent color loss and minimal pilling. The crochet work displays remarkably consistent tension throughout. Light pulling is present in areas from previous use. No holes or unraveling have been noted. Please examine all photographs closely, including the detailed images, as they form an important part of the condition description. As a genuine vintage handmade textile, normal evidence of age and previous use should be expected and is part of its character.
The workmanship is one of the strongest features of this piece. Maintaining even tension across a continuous granny square of this size requires considerable consistency, and the maker accomplished that beautifully. The stitches remain remarkably uniform from the small center square through the broad outer sections, giving the finished afghan a balanced and intentional appearance.
