These beautiful antique candlesticks embody the romantic aesthetic that made Victorian girandoles a centerpiece of elegant parlors and mantels during the nineteenth century. Their sculptural quality, impressive size, and remarkable completeness make them an outstanding display for traditional, French Country, Victorian, or Grandmillennial interiors.

Similar examples have been attributed by antique dealers and auction houses to several American Victorian foundries; however, these examples are unmarked, so no specific manufacturer is claimed.

Condition
This pair is in excellent antique condition and retains all of its original hanging crystal prisms, including the full complement of long faceted spear prisms.
Several of the round crystal buttons display light age-related internal sugaring consistent with antique lead crystal. Three of the long spear prisms have very small flea-bite chips at their tips that are difficult to notice when displayed and do not detract from their exceptional presentation.
The gilt finish has developed a beautiful aged patina with expected wear consistent with age. The white marble bases remain in excellent condition with no major chips or cracks. The candleholders are structurally sound and display beautifully.
