CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with the wonderfully individual characteristics expected of handmade studio pottery. The stoneware body retains its blue-gray speckled glaze, exposed cream-colored lower body, applied loop handle, ceramic wick holder, and wick. There are natural variations in the glaze, clay surface, coloration, and firing that are inherent to handmade pottery and contribute to the character of the piece. Please examine all photographs closely, particularly the base, handle attachments, rim, wick assembly, and glaze surfaces, as the photographs form an important part of the condition description. There are no chips, cracks or damage. The wick has been used and still has oil on it. Otherwise the lamp is clean and ready to use.
Measurements
Approximately 6 inches tall × 4.5 inches in body diameter. Please allow for minor measurement variation due to the handmade form.
Maker / Manufacturer
Handmade studio pottery. Incised signature on the underside appears to read “Rosa.” The specific artist or pottery studio has not been conclusively identified.
