Item Details, Condition & Measurements

Material: Porcelain Style: French Country, Romantic, Cottage, Traditional Primary Color: Pale Blue Secondary Colors: White, Green, Lavender Blue, Pink, Gold Room: Bedroom, Dressing Room, Bathroom, Guest Room Occasion: Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day Vintage Status: Vintage Shape: Round Pattern: Floral / Pierced Hearts Finish: Glossy glazed porcelain Edge: Scalloped, pierced openwork with gold trim Decoration: Delicate blue floral bouquet Features: Pierced heart and triangular openwork border Signed: Yes, appears to read “J.C. Tanner” Suggested Use: Jewelry dish, ring dish, trinket dish, vanity dish, dresser dish, decorative display

The underside bears a green script signature that appears to read “J.C. Tanner.” I have not been able to document J.C. Tanner as an established commercial porcelain manufacturer, so I am treating this conservatively as an apparent artist or decorator signature rather than making an unsupported maker attribution. The signature itself is photographed and buyers are encouraged to examine it closely.

Measurements: Approximately 6" diameter × 1" tall.

Maker/Manufacturer: Unknown. Signed in green script on the underside; signature appears to read “J.C. Tanner.” No documented manufacturer attribution has been confirmed.

Estimated Circa: 1970-1990

I am dating this conservatively based on the form, decoration and overall presentation rather than the unidentified signature. Comparable pierced-heart porcelain vanity pieces were produced well into the late 20th century; for example, documented Lenox pierced-heart pieces date to the 1980s–1990s.

Shipping — See Cost Before Payment

Shipping is calculated from your destination and the packed size and weight of the item. Because vintage pieces vary so much in size and fragility, rates can differ by item. We combine compatible pieces into the same shipment whenever practical; final shipping still reflects packed size, weight, and destination.
