Condition: This vintage framed needlework presents beautifully, with strong blue and white coloration and remarkably consistent stitching. The textile appears well preserved within the frame. Beautiful handworked Hardanger-style needlework featuring an intricate geometric and foliate design in blue, white and silvery-white thread. Dense, exceptionally consistent stitching creates wonderful texture and dimension, particularly in the central diamond where wrapped threads and openwork form an elaborate lattice.
Stylized blue leaves and scrolling motifs surround the center in a highly symmetrical composition.
