CONDITION
Good vintage condition with visible age and use consistent with an older lithographed metal container. The tin retains exceptionally bright, colorful graphics. There are scattered scratches, small marks, surface wear and areas of finish loss, including wear around the lid and edges. The metal edging shows age-related darkening and oxidation. An old “GROCERY $1.79” price sticker remains attached to one side and has intentionally been left in place as part of the piece's history. Please examine all photographs closely for the most complete representation of condition.
This wonderfully colorful vintage Daher tin box was designed for Daher of Long Island, New York and manufactured in England. Its unusual eight-sided form and exuberant floral decoration make it considerably more visually interesting than the ordinary round and rectangular household tins of its era.
