Item Details, Condition & Measurements

Condition

Very good vintage condition overall.

Beautiful North Carolina salt-glazed folk pottery bowl featuring classic cobalt hand-painted decoration and a warm buff stoneware body.

There are small firing or drying cracks present in the foot ring on the base (see photo). These cracks are confined to the foot ring and do not extend into the interior of the bowl, and the piece remains solid and stable.

No chips or repairs observed.

Unsigned examples like this are often attributed to regional folk pottery traditions rather than a specific individual potter, which is common for handmade functional wares produced in small kiln batches.

I take great care packaging items safely using protective materials so they arrive securely.

Aged Metals Aged metals—including sterling silver, silver plate, brass, and copper—naturally develop character over time. Silver will tarnish (a normal oxidation process), while brass and copper may darken, dull, or develop patina and verdigris. I do not polish these finishes, as many collectors value the depth, warmth, and authenticity they bring. You may also see light wear, including areas where silver plate has thinned to reveal underlying metal, along with age spots, surface variations, or minor discoloration. These are not defects, but expected signs of age that reflect the history and unique character of each piece. I do not accept returns because something was not polished or has rust or other logical conditions for aged pieces. My pictures are very clear.

Shipping — See Cost Before Payment

Shipping is calculated from your destination and the packed size and weight of the item. Because vintage pieces vary so much in size and fragility, rates can differ by item. You can review the available shipping options and exact charges at checkout before placing your order. Shopping for more patterns or other compatible small items? Add them to one cart. We combine compatible pieces into the same shipment whenever practical; final shipping still reflects packed size, weight, and destination. Every order is carefully wrapped and packed for safe delivery.

Returns & Purchase Confidence

Return requests are accepted within 14 days of confirmed delivery. We photograph and describe the exact vintage item you will receive, including condition details and measurements, so you can purchase with confidence. If an item arrives with an issue that was not described, please contact us promptly.
