CONDITION: Good antique condition with substantial evidence of age and previous use to the original wood frame. The frame retains an attractive aged surface with scratches, small nicks, finish wear, surface variation and localized wear consistent with a genuinely old wooden object. One corner/back area shows notable age-related wear and evidence of old fastening or construction, as photographed. The frame remains visually impressive and suitable for display. The mirror glass is a later replacement and is consequently much clearer than antique glass would ordinarily be. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.
A wonderfully substantial 19th-century wall mirror with an unusually deep solid hardwood frame measuring approximately 2.25 inches from front to back. Although modest in overall dimensions, the remarkable depth and stepped architectural molding give this antique mirror considerably more presence than a conventional flat picture-frame mirror.
