Graceful proportions, beautifully hand-painted opal glass, and an impressive 31-inch height make this antique Victorian banquet lamp an exceptional decorative statement for today's traditional, cottage, grandmillennial, or Victorian-inspired interiors.
Originally manufactured as an oil banquet lamp around the turn of the twentieth century, this example was professionally converted to electricity decades ago and has been updated with modern wiring for practical everyday use. The lamp retains its elegant Victorian character while providing the convenience of electric illumination.
The matching globe, font, and stem feature soft blush pink shading over white opal glass with delicate hand-painted floral vines that wrap naturally around each section. Rather than the heavy floral bouquets commonly seen on later reproductions, this lamp displays refined trailing blossoms with graceful Art Nouveau-inspired movement that complements its unusually tall silhouette.
The ornate pierced cast metal base provides a substantial visual foundation and beautifully balances the elegant proportions of the glass above. When illuminated, the upper globe glows warmly through the opal glass, highlighting the delicate painted decoration and creating a beautiful period ambiance.

The lamp has been converted from oil to electricity and is fully functional. The wiring has been updated with a modern cord for safe operation. The original chimney is included and displays a small flea bite/chip on the upper rim. The cast metal base retains an attractive aged finish with expected wear consistent with its age. The hand-painted glass is exceptionally well preserved with no significant damage observed to the globe, stem, or font.
